what sort of kingdom would it be
if i am ruler
and army
and citizen?

a kingdom, ethereal, without influence
a myth perhaps?
a good story?
what will any struggle have wrought
except echoes?


if i am only ever all things
to myself
who do i empower?
how will it be felt?
who later will speak of it?


so it is that your kingdom too,
however it exists,
is weakened without me
but in union, in hope
we both may sit on thrones

not as countries struggling
not as king or queen warring
not as isolationists
but as conquerors together
realizing our kingdoms in all of their glory
